Our combination of native wildlife, natural history resources and related props are utilised to send a tangible and easily understood message about nature, life cycles and snake safety.

Our musical show/presentation is our most popular and is recommended for the 4 – 10 years old age group.

We also provide the same structured show with more age relevant language and information for children 10+ (minus the musical element)

SHOW CONTENT

We provide a show that is designed to be fun but educational, suitable for little kids and big kids alike. A standard show runs for approximately one-hour featuring live (non-venomous) snakes, lizards, frog, turtle and a young crocodile as well as fossils, a croc skull and sing-along songs on guitar. The children will be entertained while they learn a thing or two about our amazing animals, their environment and the importance of conservation. They will be able to touch the animals throughout the show and will also learn about personal safety and hygiene. There is also plenty of interaction. Gentle patting of select reptiles is allowed and volunteers are called up to hold animals during shows.

COST & NUMBERS

The cost for the show starts from $495 for up to 40 children and an additional $5 for each child thereafter.

Please note: pricing depends on your location as we do charge travel toll fees where additional travel is required.

VENUE REQUIREMENTS

An area of about 6 x 3m should be allowed for children to view each show. Children are organised in a semi-circle with the presenter at the front to allowing full view and access to the animals for all children. The show needs to be located away from high noise areas e.g. generators. If outdoors, shade is required for the performers and animals as well as for the audience. Nearby power may be needed if the group is large enough to warrant the use of our PA system. A single parking space is also required nearby.

Walkabout Reptiles is licensed by the Department of Primary Industries to perform shows. DPI Authority no 48521. We are fully insured for Public Liability and accredited by the Department of Education and Training NSW
